Thinking of YOU!....

Take a moment today (in between the barbeques, sales and SCRAPBOOKING) to remember those, past and present, who have served out country in the military!

Don't forget those that protect us here at home as well...our police and firefighters!

THANK YOU!!

I am very proud to say my paternal Grandfather served in WWI...

and my father was career Air Force (22 years!)....I miss you both and am thinking of you!

Enjoy your MEMORIAL DAY!

  7. My dad, too, served in the military. Thank you for honoring our servicemen and women. I just got word today that a dear friend's son was shot in Afghanistan. He was transported to a field hospital and survived surgery. He is in ICU on a ventilator at this time. We are all praying hard for him!
    Hugs!

  8. I think there is no doubt where your genes came from! I too look just like my Dad and my son is almost identical. My Dad served in WWII, my son is in the Army. We have compared their military photos.....the resemblance is remarkable. I take comfort in that. I love that you share your personal life with us. Thanks for all the time that you put into your blog.
