There is a glimmer of light...

...at the end of the tunnel! Whew!

Sarah had her post-op Dr. appointment and has been cleared for all activity. She has a minor infection in her belly button incision, but one last course of antibiotics should clear that up. She has been such a strong little girl through all of this...I am SO proud of her.

Trevor is also on the upswing...big improvements in the last few days. I am tentatively optimistic that by the time Winter Break is over he will be back on track.

I owe such big THANK YOU's to so many of you for your support, well wishes, and prayers. Each and every one was felt and hugely appreciated! This period would have been much darker without each and everyone of you! It has kept me from going off the deep end myself. It has been a rough time for our family....I feel so much for those of you who are going through worse.
I wish I could say more...I wish I could do more...but I do want to say a...

HUGE THANK YOU!!!

Laura

  1. Hi Laura,

I am so happy that things are turning around in the right direction for you and your family.
God does hear our prayers. Now hopefully you and your family will be able to relax and enjoy Christmas. Sarah has been so good through all of this. You are one proud mama, of both of your children. We can see how much you love them when ever they come into the room while you are having a class. You just beam when you talk about them. They are blessed to have a mother like you.
Big Hugs for all of you,

  3. Angelbug said it all! You have opened your heart to all of us and now you and your family have stepped into our hearts as well... Your kids have recieved a whole bunch of new aunts and 1 uncle ( Steven, lol )... We adore them! They are so sweet... Be sure to tell them that. Kids need to hear stuff like that, even at their age. :)

I really hope I can join your next class. That's the highlight of the week for me, that's "mommy time" in our family.

    Big hugs!

  4. Such great news that they are both on the mend! Sorry to hear about the infection in the belly button for Sarah, but she will be good as new soon! I know you've had your plate full lately and I'm so grateful that you had your crafting to keep you sane! Can't wait for tomorrow night and sooooo looking foward to New Years, as we don't go out to celebrate either!

  6. I agree with Teres, Your children do have lots of new aunts and uncles'. While I sit at work sometimes they pop into my head and heart. It's times like that I just stop what I am doing and say a little prayer that they are well and feeling better.

  12. WE all are so blessed to share in this "scrapbooking" family. As I read my blogs, I discover I have friends in almost every state and all over the world. Isn't it amazing?! And if you ever need a prayer.... just ask on Facebook or on the blogs and you'll be amazed at what happens.

Thanks for all you do for us. You keep us sane too. Friday night class is a huge part of our lives.
