A couple of questions....UPDATE

I am working on the Ustream schedule for the coming months and would love a bit of feedback as to the types and styles of projects you would like to see. While I have ideas for projects, I would love to know if I am on the right track with what YOU want to work on with me and what sort of scheduling works best....

I am not looking to make any major changes! I just have a few holes to fill in on the schedule and wanted to make sure I was on the right track and not overlooking something you may want to work on before I filled them in.

Please take a minute or two to fill out this little survey!

I would like to see more of the following project types:

I am interested in the following themes:

Laura is scheduling fewer projects with more classes for each project. I like these classes to be held on:

When it comes to kits for the projects:

Thank you all for you input! I want to schedule projects that are what YOU want to do! You all are the best!

  1. Kinda wanted to answer more than one, too many great choices!! I enjoy everything you do...I may not make something myself but I learn from everything, so it's a win win! Enjoy your vacation!

  2. Laura, your projects are simply amazing and beyond. We are just so very appreciative that you take the time to share them with us. When I buy a kit from you, I personally like to see the project from start to finish so that I know the papers I have will be enough to complete the project. Building the project is usually not the hard part for me, but page layouts of mini have been. The pictures never seem to fit the spaces I have created in mini albums. I could use some work in that area. I am new at mini albums. I am use to working with larger albums.

  3. I usually watch the recorded show, given my schedule so, as far I'm concerned, it really doesn't matter when you schedule them. I seem to be in the minority, but I'd love to see some of your card making. Even if I don't do the projects, I thoroughly enjoy watching your processes and marveling at the time, thought, energy and love you put into each one.

  4. I read this with apprehension! I think what you do currently is so good and I'd hate for anyone else to influence what you decide to do. We all have very different tastes and agendas and I think the fact we all continue to watch (live or recorded) is testiment you are doing a brilliant job. I don't buy kits for two reasons, one, I cannot afford them, particularly once you add international postage - that said, I recently worked out that by the time I buy all the stuff to make the patterns I buy, I'd probably be cheaper getting a kit! However its a perception thing I suppose, the other reason I don't buy kits is because I never make exactly the same thing you do. I love to take the ideas and 'adjust' them to my needs and wants so I guess what I like is to learn techniques but I enjoy making the 'construction' projects so much even though I still change the paper or the mini album style or whatever but I love the challenge of making them. I think layouts and cards are ten a penny on the internet - You Tube - so I'd much rather you keep doing what you are currently doing so successfully! Please don't be too swayed by your poll It's your show and you can do what you like!! Sorry for taking up so much of your blog! x

  5. I have learned more about making constructed books since I started watching your tutorials. It has helped me to understand the construction techniques, what I like and what I don't. I most likely won't ever be able to buy a kit because of having to plan so far in advance for major purchases but if I could, I would. Thanks so much for sharing your time and talent.

  6. I have bought many of your patterns and they are awesome, you do such great project! I was wondering if you are able to get some of the lost archives back on you new site or if they were lost for good? I have a few of your patterns that, for me, were easier to follow with the video. I know you have been super busy I was just hoping they were not lost off Ustream. Thanks.

  7. I've only made one mini album from one of your patterns, but I've learned tons just watching you create! I'm a card maker primarily and I can easily apply your ideas to that. If anyone gets me into album making it will be you!

  9. Laura, your work is always fabulous,so anything you do is fine with me. My favorite is the Stack the Deck w/pockets because of the layered look. I don't earn an income, but if I did, I would buy all of your kits and tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing what you do. I do make the minis you show sometimes and they're piling up, but I love making them. Crafting has been a lifesaver for me as I am basically trapped in my home. I don't drive and I have a son with Autism and I take care of my mom (she has dementia). It would be to hard to go out with them on the bus, so I just stay home and craft and look after them...it's all good. So... thanks to you and others in the crafting community I have something that's just for me.(((HUGS)))

  11. I would like to be able to answer to more than one for certain questions, but must say, I too absolutely loves everything you ever show us. I just wish, I had easier to follow your classes directly, so I was able to join the chat too sometimes, but that´s just not påossible as it´s most times in the middle of the night here, when you send them, and I just can´t keep awake that long very often, I´m afraid LOL. But I absolutely love to watch the recorded shows later too, that´s for sure, and I do watch them all. Thanks so much for the great work you´re putting into this to help us, I really apreciate that very very much.

  12. That was fun. Truth be told, I love everything that you teach. It's fun to have it themed to the season but it doesn't have to be. It's really great for me to see how you combine the Graphic 45 papers. They're so beautiful and I'm finally using them. But, in the course ofn each project, you teach so many little things that make all my crafting go much better. As far as a Ustream schedule - I'll adjust to whenever you're able to broadcast.
Nowturn your mind to that Mouse.
    Have a ball!!!

  13. I watch the recorded shows so the time does not matter to me. I have learned a lot watching your shows, though have not bought a kit or pattern. I should spend more time creating at my desk than on my PC then may be I would achieve something...catch 22 cos without the PC I would not have the inspiration...I say keep it as it is, if it is not broke, don't try fix it!

  14. Laura - please just continue as you are doing - I think you have the balance just right! Though do appreciate the thought behind the survey. I have entered my choices - but will be happy with whatever you do in your shows. As you know I don't manage many live broadcasts - wish I could.I have learned so much - and also - you need to know just how much your recordings have helped me get through the last few weeks - they have been a chance for my mind to think of enjoyable things to look forward to. Like other commenters - I have to save for kits - but have been delighted with those I have purchased. Keep up the good work!

  18. Thank you for thinking of us. What your doing now is great. I join the ustream classes every time I can. I have a few of your patterns, but have not been able to purchase any kits yet. Once my social security takes effect though look out! Already have "Laura" figured in my budget! LOL You are one of just a few I've found that do what I call 3D projects. I love those. I do try to buy from my LSS though. Violet's here in Lakeland, FL is an amazing store and I would like to see her stay. Though I must say, I've been lurking around Scrapadabadoo lately!
Have an amazing vacation and a safe trip.
Enjoy the kiddos and husband. We'll see you when you return.

  19. Laura, I love all your projects, I don't buy many because I don't know where I would put some of your awesome boxes. But I sure do learn a lot ... a while ago my DGD wanted me to help her make the Parthenon, and I found a template on line, I think DGD thought I was crazy, because as I was cutting it out, I kept saying, well Laura would have put a tab here, so lets add one ... Kathryn would have a tab here ... and so on ... my Parthenon was a lot sturdier than the pattern, completely thanks to you and Kathryn :)

  20. Forgot to add that I wish you would do another longer project, like the heritage album, I got to work along with you on a project without having to be continually buying kits.

  21. You have holes in the schedule? I'd love to make the cradle you made for CHA-W. I know you can't sell it as a kit but a pattern would be wonderful! Or how about the bed you just made for CHA-S with the skirt that lifts to hide a mini book. That would be a wonderful kit/pattern! I just love your site, your shows and your inspiration. Keep up the good work! Oh, and enjoy your vacation!

  22. Decisions--Decisions--Decisions! Laura I can understand why you would want some input on projects, but I am grateful for everything you do! And I love the element of 'surprise'! I learn something every class no matter what the project. I have learned so much about construction and I do love your dimensional mini albums but want you to do what 'sings' to you--have never been disappointed with your 'executive decisions'! Scrapbooking is one thing my daughter and I share and we feel like we found a friend when we found you. Have a safe and Wonderful time in Disney World!! Your hotel in Animal Kingdom sounds awesome! Rest assured that whatever you decide to do we will all be 'watching you'! Thank You for Everything!

  23. I have never taken a class but want to. Just never jumped in...recently with all the G 45 building stuff, just not interested. Several of the comments have been about making a book that doesn't hold photos that we take. Even with PSE I believe majority of scrappers prefer albums where you start with 4x6. If we want to encourage ladies to keep scrapping, the scrapping has to fit their time alotment. Easy and beautiful. With all the gorgeous papers, that shouldn't be hard. Thanks for asking.

    1. Just an FYI, the majority of the albums that I create ARE designed to hold 4 x 6 photos.....

I must tell you that I made the Trunk Full of Memories project for a mini album exchange that I participated in this summer. It was a HIT!!! :-) I couldn't have done it without your fabulous pattern and the videos. Thank you! Thank you!

I just have a little request if possible could you do a short show or pattern for the Rickshaw . I made the Asian album for my best friend who is Vietnamese and this one I know she would love.
Many many thanks for all you do and blessing to your family.

  27. I love watching your shows... I don't always catch them live but I do watch every last one to play catch-up and get great ideals from your shows.

  28. I love love your ideas!!!!! I voted that I wanted to see more gift ideas. I am always inclined to give a functional pretty gift that is also a memory like wall hangings with graphic 45. I love your albums and making them, but maybe I would love to see a potpouri of other things with pretty paper. Thank you for sharing your talent
