I am slowly getting the archived Ustream videos up and available. While I still have a long ways to go, I have provided the link to them here on the blog so that you can access the ones I do have available. I thank you all for your patience and ask for further patience while I get the rest of the videos up for viewing. The link is at the top of the blog, just under the blog header. The videos are listed by the pattern title (or project title for those without a pattern) in alphabetical order.
I also wish to thank everyone who sent their well wishes and prayers for my Mom. On Saturday, after my Ustream show, Sarah and I went to pick up her up to go out to the store. We arrived at her house to discover her lying on her bathroom floor. She had been there for the past 4 hours, pushing her Life Alert necklace button to no avail. No one on the call list was contacted. Next came a call to 911, a trip to the ER in the aid car and several hours at the hospital awaiting word as to whether she had broken a hip or her pelvis. Fortunately, there were no fractures and she was able to go home last night. She is super sore today and will be for the next several days.
I may need to adjust the upcoming Ustream schedule. I lost most of the weekend and will loose a couple of days this week with Sarah and her medical tests. Kits will be going out on time but the patterns may be delayed. Watch my blog for updates on the the show schedule. Worst case scenario will be sliding the schedule back a week.
Hope you all have a pleasant week!
Laura

Laura,
ReplyDeleteSlide your schedule back a week. It's much more important that you take care of your Mom and Sarah and not wear yourself to a frazzle in the process.
Besides, that will give us more time to anticipate the upcoming projects.
Take care of yourself.
Hugs,
Marjan
Family first...always. Prayers for your mom to feel better soon, that Sarah's situation is resolved and your foot heals up! I'm happy to play with the 'STD with pockets' pattern, so take all the time you need. (and thanks for the archived ustream!)

ReplyDeleteHi Laura....so sorry to hear about your mum and glad there are no broken bones. I am always playing catch up with u stream and still haven't managed to sign into the chat, so you should take as long as is needed to take care of your family as all the other ladies have said. Keeping fingers crossed that all goes well with Sarah and they sort out what is going on with her...take care

I'm sorry to hear what happened to your mom. Take care of yourself and your family Laura, you are such a blessing to them and to us...prayers for you and yours.
ReplyDeletesorry to change the subject, but has anyone else tried the Ustream videos, on the new website.
ReplyDeleteI find it to be blurry, out of focus????
Laura, I hope your mom gets better quickly. The same thing happened to my mom, she laid there for 8 hrs. I think she had a mini stroke.
In downloading from Ustream and then re-uploading, they are a bit blurry. I am not tech-y enough to know if there is anything to be done to improve the quality....at least they are there! LOL!
DeleteI was just on the website last night watching the wedding album videos. They looked okay to me, but I was mostly listening and not watching too intently.
DeleteI heard about your Mom on Saturday and am so happy she is not "broken". Bumps and bruises are not too bad to deal with but if she has lots of bruising you can use arnica gel, just rub it in good where ever she has bruising or swelling and it helps reduce it faster.
ReplyDeleteDO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR SCHEDULE RIGHT NOW OR PUTTING UP ANY MORE VIDEOS. We are "grown" and understand that you have some family issues that come way ahead of us. Take care of your family, and especially yourself since you are the main caregiver, and then get back to us. We will miss you but we DO NOT WANT YOU TO STRESS ABOUT US AT ALL! Your family comes first!!
Love you and feel like you are part of my family!! Sending hugs and prayers your way!!
Katina
Oh My Goodness Laura, your poor Mom...I hope she'll be OK. Take care, ((Hugs)) to you and your family!

Sorry to hear about your mother's emergency; but glad to hear that she will recover. Your mother and daughter are in my prayers. Your family is definitely your priority; everything else can wait (and should). We all understand. And take care of yourself. Without YOU where would everyone else be? ¡Hasta Luego! See you later.

I, too, found my mom on the floor after hours of no help. Home support left at lunch with out a thorough check on her. (She had diabetes and had a low sugar attack in the bathroom.) I came home from work to find her. She passed away fours years ago and it still pains me when I see/hear/read about elder moms in trouble. My heart goes out to you.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your mom :( I hope that she gets to feeling better soon. Know that everyone here will be thinking of you and your family ;-)
ReplyDeleteMena
My best wishes to you and your family and hope everyone has speedy recoveries. I totally agree with everyone whose posted, that family definitely comes first and you shouldn't worry about us here....we'll wait for you...do what YOU need to do. Take care and best of luck to your family.

Oh my goodness! That is just terrible. I am sure all of you were just scared to death. I know firsthand that family comes first (my dad fell down a flight of stairs fractured all 3 bones in his neck and we found out my mom had breast cancer in Jan..this all happened on the same day!!) Just take your time and be with your family and take care of them. We will be ready whenever you are.
ReplyDeletePrayers with you and your family for healing and speedy recovery.
