CHA Day 1!

Here you go guys!

Here are the CHA projects that I did for Tim Holtz Ideaology booth. The first is a wardrobe trunk is created from configuration boxes and has two compartments. In the larger compartment, tags hang like party dresses. There are 12 tags, one for each month. The monthly tags hang individually on the opposite wall each month. Bingo numbers attach magnetically to the pocket watch for the day of the month, creating a perpetual calendar.

The second project is a box or field camera. This camera type was popular in the late 1800's. This version is also created from Configuration boxes. Photo's slip into pockets hidden in the folds of the bellows. In the back is a box file with space for more photo's.

I will post the monthly tags on the blog tomorrow. I am also checking on whether or not I can show you the Graphic 45 projects here on my blog or wait until they show them on their blog.

Both of these projects will be offered as video tutorials after the products used become available.

Thanks for checking these out!

Laura

No words,,,,,no words.....no words.......,., That is just about one of the most creative idea's I have ever seen. If I just knew how, I would say I am speechless!!! Your trunk needs to contain a copy of Fannie Flagg's latest book "I Still Dream About You", A very witty tale revolving around a vintage trunk.

  44. I found you after Tim posted the Steampunk clock some guy made based on the one you made for a previous CHA. I can't stop coming back. You think so far outside of the box you are in your own world. I love it. I can't imagine how excited Tim must get- he thinks outside the box but not nearly as far as you do. I get so frustrated trying to find inspiration because so many crafters are making stuff that frankly is far below my skill set but you push it and I love it. My 13 year old daughter and I are about to tackle the castle as a "Queen of Hearts". She has never been interested in crafting with me (what?!? how did a I get two not-crafty kids?) so I am super excited. I might have to tackle the camera…I can't believe you went there….really I can't.

  67. Hi Laura - I had just started looking at your amazing CHA Tim Holtz Project; when my husband walked into the room. He immediately sat down and started to asked what I thought you used to makes these projects. We probably sat for half an hour playing the guessing game and just pouring over how beautifully made your projects are constructed. The long and short of the story is....now my husband wants to help me build both projects once you have your written tutorials out. You really outdid yourself....and that's saying something when last years projects were as stunningly wonderful.
