I went to the Dr. last week about the pain in my foot. Those of you who watched my Friday show know that I was diagnosed with Plantar's Faciatis and a neuroma. Well, I went back to the doctor and I found out today that, while this
is happening in my foot, the pain is actually caused by a stress fracture. Thus, I get to where a boot cast for the next 4 to 6 weeks. Hey, at least it's not my hand!
Now that I have the doctor appointments out of the way, I am back to finishing up the Double Decker Stack The Deck pattern and hope to have it up later today.
It's always something.....
Laura
PS I am thinking it may need some bling!
hope much less pain!? yes, and bling is a MUST!
ReplyDeleteTake it easy (if you can).
I'm seeing a hand doctor next week. My biggest fear is that he will immobilize it for several weeks! Yikes!!! Bling is definitely needed on your boot...maybe a few flowers...
ReplyDeleteLove the new blog design!
Oh Laura, I am so sorry I bugged you about the tutorial. Please forgive me! Blessings to you and I hope this works for you. I had this in both feet several years ago and ended up with surgery on both! Worked though and now walk pain free. Take care, nancy

PS lovin the new look blog btw
It's amazing what pain the slightest bone break or crack can cause. Immobilizing it and staying off of it should help a lot with the pain. And definitely add some bling!
ReplyDeleteSoo sorry to hear that you are having troubles. Heal quickly and take it easy. I think bling is an awesome idea, and how bout some of that distressing ink to soften up the edges hehe.

ReplyDeleteOh no! Your poor foot! Just take it easy. Definitely some bling on the boot, and maybe some alcohol ink on the plastic parts! A couple of flowers, a charm and some fibers...pocket maybe? A boot mini.
ReplyDeleteTake care Laura! Wish to do some vintage work on this boot..lol. Some flaps with stars..
ReplyDeleteHope you be better soon
sure it needs bling! Hope you are on the mend soon
ReplyDeleteGlad to know that you are on the mend. I like the new look of your blog. Take care......
ReplyDeleteHope you mend quickly. Bling is just what the doctor ordered.

ReplyDeleteLove Bling. You're talking about your cast right? Maybe the album too
Ouch...ouch...ouch...! Not only does it need some bling, I think you should hit it with some pink dye spray and fabric flowers. So sorry you are hurt.

Look at this as an excuse to sit and create. Love your blog and creations!
ReplyDeleteHope it heals fast. I have a partial tear of my Achilles, have no idea how I did it, and have been in one of those boots since the first part of Sept. Too damaged operate so I just have to give it time to heal. LOL...I've already worn out one boot. The Velcro would no longer stick..lol
ReplyDeleteBless your heart!! I hope you mend real fast. Loving the makeover on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you! I live with constant nerve pain ever since a surgery 5 years ago. Thankfully crafting is a wonderful distraction. :) Hope the time seems to fly by for you.

And, I love the new look of your blog ...
Francoise
whew! thank goodness it's not your hands, but sorry you have to wear that thing,I think you should bling it up a little.I just love your new blog design,my favorite colors.Have a great day will see you later for class.
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem; Plantar's Faciatis and then a stress fracture and wore a boot for about six weeks. In the short run it helped but in the long run, walking around in the boot gave me hip bursitis which I am still dealing with 3 years later. I would advise limiting how much walking around in the boot you do (good excuse to spend more time crafting :D). I went shopping and to work and did everything I normally do while wearing it. Now I wish I had taken it easy and rested my foot while it healed. Just me of course, but something you might ask your Dr about. Good Luck and Hugs.
ReplyDeletePretty new wallpaper! YES, bling it up and add some glimmer too. You can start a new fashion trend. Mary W
ReplyDeleteLaura I would be out with my sprays, distress inks, acrylic paints and bling and that grey piece of foot wear would be the best looking cast in the doctors waiting room, lol. Sorry to hear you have a stress fracture on top of everything else. Heal well. Lee x
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog design. So you! I wish you a speedy resolution to the foot issues; foot pain = No Fun! Been there, done that. As others have suggested: use this time to 'put you feet up' and create more for us to oooo-ahhh about! And yes, BLING and sparkle and distress and alter and color that cast right into a WORK OF ART! DoriG
ReplyDeleteSorry about your foot. Hope it is better soon. I am in a hand splint for six weeks. It is on my right hand and I am right handed. I will just have to watch the tutorials for a while. Nancy
ReplyDelete...wishing you a very speedy recovery.. and yes.. bling is a very good idea.. who doesnt like bling ? LOL Or another thought.. embellish this footwear with one of your mini stack the deck items.. and on your folders put your ** want list ** like I want a Dr Pepper, or I want some chocolates.. when the kids see this, they can bring it to you...:)
ReplyDeleteBLING, BLING, BLING!!! not happy about the boot but am happy that there's a solution that is easy on you, ie not surgery! c ya soon! ella aka cmella04
ReplyDeleteI like the new blog look...:)
