Tomorrow I take off for New Jersey and Ranger U...Whoo Hoo!
I've been crazy busy getting things done before I leave and get the family ready to run somewhat smoothly while I'm gone...4 straight days of McD's won't hurt, will it? LOL!
The pattern for the Sewing/Jewelry Case is up on the website and I added more of the kits for those who want them. I will be emailing out the pattern to those who already bought the kit in the morning. All the kits will ship out soon after I get back home. All of the Ranger product will be arriving while I am gone...poor hubby has to find a place for it!
I've the May projects for Graphic 45 done and will be emailing them out in a few minutes....not sure when they will go up on the G45 blog.
I will try posting and tweeting from New Jersey as I can.
I am going to miss you all on Friday night,,,going be weird not doing the show!!!
Have an awesome weekend!

Snuffle...sniffle...
OK.
It's official.
I have caught the cold that the rest of the family has.
Lovely.
Could be worse.
It could be next week when I get on an airplane for a 6 hour flight to New Jersey.
Should be good by then.
Fingers crossed.
Yesterday, I took a break from putting together kits to play and design.
Hmmmm.
Too many ideas that I couldn't settle on one.
Got NOTHING done.
Just spun in circles.
Ah well....
Working today through the antihistmine fog...
All will be good...
The Duet Mini Album and kits are up on the website. It's like two albums in one....Bo Bunny Gabrielle on one side and Bo Bunny Timepiece on the other....
We will make this album on Friday's Ustream class. We start at 7pm Pacific time. This is very similar to the Duet album I did on Ustream last year....same style and concept...just a bit bigger and a different page style. You all have been BEGGING for the pattern ever since the show last June. Finally got to it and made just enough minor modifications that we will revisit it again.
In other news, National Scrapbook Day is May 7th. I have teamed up with fellow Ustreamers Kathryn from The Scrap{beach} and Roxy with My Paper Pantry to do a Ustream Hop! We will start at Noon eastern time and run until Midnight Eastern time. I will post the line-up, times and the challenge we discussed on the last Ustream show tomorrow. It will be a blast!! Hope you can join us and also meet some of the other extremely talented ladies that do fun and amazing Ustream shows!
Off to take more cold medicine.....and maybe a nap....

Playing with Tim's new stains...
...Most of today was spent crunching numbers for taxes (Eeeeeewwwww!) so I needed a break and decided to play with the new Tim Holtz stains on vellum. TOTALLY cool! They worked awesome for punched flowers with stained Kraft Glassine punched leaves. I had so much fun that I turned then into a card!!
For the card, I used Graphic 45 Curtain Call and Steampunk Debutante papers along with a Kaisercraft wood swirl that I cut into two peices. A few Tim Holtz Ideology gears added the finishing touch.
Here's how to make the flowers:
Spread the stain over the entire vellum piece. I used Fired Brick, Dusty Concord, and Wild Honey.
Mist the vellum to intermingle the colors.
Blot away excess liquid.
Crumple the vellum and highlight the raised areas with Distress ink...I used Vintage Photo.
Punch or die cut flowers. I used 3 layers of flowers.
each flower is unique because of the intermingled colors.
Stain the Kraft Glassine with Peeled Paint Distress Stain. When dry, punch leaves for flowers.
Add veining with stylus tool. They look like real leaves!!!!
Layer together and attach with a brad. Crumble petals together and manipulate the petals till you like how they look. Add a little bit of Adirondack Silver Dabber to the petal edges.
Next, I making blue ones.....
I will make a Youtube video later today...

Winners! Winners! Winners!
I did the drawing for the 3 prizes (using random.com)....the G45 paper kits and the Ranger products. Here are the winners.
The winner of the Le Cirque Circus Tent kit is:

My favorite G45 paper is Playtimes Past. It reminds me of happy times in my grandma's attic and all the antique toys she had there to play with. I would like to learn more about using Perfect Pearls. I've taken two classes using them now, and just can't seem to use them effectively. Congratulations, again, and thanks for the fabulous giveaways!
The Winner of the Once Upon a Springtime Fairy House kit is:

My favorite Graphic45 paper is the Curtain Call collection, because it is neutral and you can add any color to accent and make it pop.
The Ranger product I would like to learn more about is their new Color Stains, they seem very vibrant and can't wait to get some.

Congratulations! I can't imagine your excitement. I love the Le Cirque by graphic45. I can't wait to make your circus tent using those papers. I am anxious to learn more about the Ranger stains. All products by both companies are super fantastic and I would be 'over the moon' to win any and all.
Again, I'm so happy that you are being blessed with such recognition. Enjoy your journey.
Congrats!! Please email (ftptwithlaura@aol.com) with your shipping info so that I can get these out to you!
Have a great rest of your weekend!
Laura
PS Still working on the pattern/kit for the circus tent and fairy house. Probably won't see them up before tomorrow. Thank you for your patience!!!!

Time to Celebrate!!!
I have had an awesome week here on the blog and I want to celebrate! I think it is time for a giveaway!! (NO April Fool's here!)
Next week on Ustream, we will be making not one, but two projects with Graphic 45 paper...the Fairy House (Once Upon a Springtime) and the Circus Tent (le Cirque). In honor of making the 2011 Design Team for Graphic 45, I'm giving away one of each of the kits! (the rest of the kits and the patterns will be up on my website on Saturday...lots of Mom duty this week has it delayed!)
And there is more... in celebration of heading of to Ranger at the end of April, I am giving away a group of Ranger products so that you can be ready to play along with me when I return!
Here's what you need to do:
Leave a comment with your favorite Graphic 45 paper line AND the Ranger product you want to learn how to use (or the one you love the most!) I will do the drawing tomorrow (Saturday, April 2) at 3pm Pacific Time.
Tonight we will be using punches again to make 3D flowers for seed packet pockets. We will be modifying my Life's a Picnic Mini Album pattern in to a Easter basket. Below is a PDF of the seed packet pocket I designed for this class. I will eventually be making this in to a rubber stamp....but for now, you can click on the photo and then print to 8 1/2" x 11" card stock. Please use this pocket all you want for your personal use... please don't pass it around or use it in classes, etc. The finished pocket will measure 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
See you all tonight!
