My email was acting up tonight...I got the confirmation for the pizza I ordered at 5:30pm at about 11:15pm. As a result, I wasn't able to start sending the patterns out tonight as anticipated. My email seems to be working fine now so I will send out in the morning. This will be the last pattern I will need to send this way...the new website with instant downloads should be up later this week. YEA!!!! The last of the kits ordered will go out tomorrow as well.
Thank you for all your good thought for Trevor. He is having a very tough time. He has taken a HUGE step backwards in terms of his coping skills. We are doing all we can to help him get back on track. I wish it was an easy fix. When it comes to how your brain works there is nothing simple. Throw in puberty and....
Please keep him in your prayers!
Laura
Poor Trevor and POOR MOM!! I will say some extra special prayers for all of you! Is there anything else I can do? I hope you know I'm here for you! If you think a card and a little package would help, I'd just love to do that for him! Whatever you need, please don't hesitate to let me know!!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you all!
I hear you, Laura. Hang in there. My son is 21 now and we had a rough road through the his school career because of "how his brain works."
ReplyDeleteBut they are wonderful, creative, complicated brains and all the more precious, aren't they?!
:} Prayers to your family.
Hugs and prayers to Trevor and the rest of the family. Your children are so very precious.
ReplyDeletelaura I completely understand, it is so hard when your children are getting older and you are trying to figure the best thing for them but keep the mood swings and hormones in mind while doing it. Thanks for the heads up on the pattern and hope things get better soon. I notice my hubby's email was being slow also. Darn Comcast.
ReplyDeleteLaura keep fighting!
ReplyDeleteIt'll turn around and your family will do better.
My 9 year old has ADHD so school and family life can be a challenge. We alwas do our best to help her, like your family is doing for Trevor.
Hugs from us to Trevor ;)

It's always horrible when your children aren't doing well. And you don't know how to help. Psykologic problems are worse than fx a broken leg. That can heal but your mind is much more tricky to fix.
ReplyDeleteAll the best hope and thoughts for Trevor and your family from Bente in Denmark
I am so sorry to hear that Trevor is having hard times again.
ReplyDeleteI had anxiety disorder when I was a teenager and I really had a though time. It was so difficult to concentrate on anything when you felt like you were having a heart attack. My family tried all they could and actually they succeeded.
As you said Trevor is growing up really fast and he is only 12. I don't know maybe something in his body or brain cannot cope with this speed. His anxiety sensitivity maybe turns into an anxiety disorder.
In order to be able to control my stress level, I gave up cola, tea, chocolate and other things that contain caffeine. (Praying also helped me a lot.) For Trevor's age, yoga might help. Also reading about anxiety disorder was helpful because in those years I thought I was going mad. but then when I read about it I realized that I wasn't the only one, a lot of people had this in their lives. The worst thing that could happen was to faint--and that never happened. I started walking and I felt really good.
I know you are getting medical help from doctors, my words are not suggestions. I just wanted to share my experience.
I hope he gets well really soon. And unfortunately hoping and wishing the best for him is all I can do...
Mother's Prayer
ReplyDeletearm as sunshine, sweet as honey,
Filled with love and care,
Tears of joy, tears of pain,
Describes a mother's prayer.
A plea for mercy, a cry for help,
A thanks for blessings received,
A prayer for a guiding hand,
For those we have conceived.
A prayer of joyous elation,
For the gift of a small precious life,
A prayer of suffering and sorrow,
For the accompanying pain and strife.
A mother's prayer is honest,
With devotion, so strong and sincere,
Borne on the wings of the angels,
Out to Father's listening ear.
Tears of joy at a new baby's birth,
Tears of joy at watching them grow,
Tears of worry, that never will cease,
When into the world they go.
Flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood,
My life's greatest joy and pain,
Who brings the sunshine to my life,
As well as the dark clouds of rain.
Few others petitions, that rise up to Heaven,
Can even come close to compare,
To the strength of love, and intensity,
That is found in a mother's prayer.
Fear not mothers, for your prayers are heard,
And are precious in God's Holy sight,
Find comfort in knowing,
He stands by your side,
And His wisdom is just, and right.
Be honored mothers, and continue to pray,
For yours is a special place,
Chosen to be the creators of life,
By God, in His wisdom and grace.

FOr you my dear Laura ..... Best to all !
Laura, My heart goes out to you a well as my prayers. My son went through an extremely difficult adolescent period suffering from acute anxiety and severe adolescent clinical depression. Added into the mix were his adoption issues. But, he is a happy, healthy, loving 26 yo now. I wish the best for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteHI Laura! I just wanted to say hello...let you know I was thinking of you and your family. You've had one heckuva run this year haven't you??? I hope things are smoothing out....brains are funny things to sort out. My daughter went thru a very dark depression about 10 years ago....just so hard when your kids are going thru a tough time. Esp mentally, because there's no anti-biotic or surgery to fix that! Hope Sarah is feeling better too!!! Take care!
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know Laura that I am thinking of you and sending lots of love to you all. Huge hugs for Trevor and many prayers coming your way. Jennie xx
ReplyDeleteOh Laura, you have really been 'paying your dues' this year! My heart goes out to Trevor and you and your husband and Sarah too 'cause it affects the whole family. My son suffered from massive mood swings and explosive anger issues in response to the simplest things. He started maturing early and gained his man's size (6'3") early too. I did martial arts to handle his teen years. At 17 he was diagnosed with narcolepsy so that just frosted the cake so to speak! He is now a happy, successful 30 year old though we all worked HARD to get him there. I hope that you begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel soon. Love and Prayers, Dori
