It's What's Up Wednesday" and I have put up 2 videos on You Tube: Back to Basics for Mini Albums. In the videos I show you my favorite products and how I use some of them. I get daily questions about this sort of thing so I decided to do a video to answer some of the most common subjects. In conjunction with these videos, I am doing a GIVEAWAY!
What can't you live without when you scrap?
Let us know in a comment here on my blog. I will do a drawing next Wednesday for a fun surprise prize and announce the winner during next weeks What's Up Wednesday!
Have an awesome week!!

ReplyDeleteHey Laura,
ReplyDeleteI have loved watching your videos on youtube. You have some great ideas and I appreciate you sharing them with all of us. I could not live without my adhesive. I am still new to scrapping so I have one of the little glue guns but I am looking to one day getting an ATG gun because they seem very practical for someone that scraps. I also have recently come to really love my Cuttlebug and all the things that it can do. Last but not least, I could not do without my paper cutter. Those are the major things that I know I could not live without but there are other things that I use all the time also. Thanks, Kate
Glossy accents,I love to use it as glue. I also, love to apply it to my flowers to make them hard and shiny and sometimes I use it to add rain drops to my flowers. Great product!
ReplyDeleteEmbellishments. They just seem to bring your mini all together. It adds that extra touch.
ReplyDeleteDistress ink, your work is amazing!
ReplyDeletemy bonefolder!!! is a must!!! im still on the hunt for a good liquid glue that doesn't bunch up my paper....do you know of one??
ReplyDeleteCaroline
my cropidle, I love it for my large eyelets punching holes. I am with you on the corner chomper--love it! Do you have the i-top..i saw a demo from tim hotlz and I think I might add it to my wish list! Thank you for all your inspiration--so full of excitement and energy! I love your work!!
ReplyDeleteLove your site!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without my ATG gun. I just purchased it in November, but I use it every day since I've been making so many mini's now.
Keep up the great work. You are a true inspiration Laura!

Papers papers and more papers! Especially patterned papers! Gosh I think I have a real problem -- more like an addiction! I cannot stop buying them papers.
ReplyDeleteI often get inspired by the papers and that's how the rest of the project comes together for me.
Thanks again for all you do. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos and such. Thanks so much!

My T square ruler ! I'm obsessive compulsive when it comes to lining things up and making sure everything is straight. :)
ReplyDeleteLaura I love watching you Youtube videos! Your excitment in craft supplies is so adorable! Don't worry I do the same. ;) The one item I can not scrap without is my x-acto knife. I use it for so many things. Congrats on turning 50 this year. With all your energy you may not feel 50 but you don't act it either. I hope I can have your spunk and excitment when I turn 50. ((((HUgs)))) Love your inspiration and creativity.
ReplyDeleteI can not live without my crop a dile! I remember before I purchased it, I had to take an exacto knife and puncture a hole into the chipboard THEN take something thing and round and poke it threw to make a hole. By the second page, my fingers were killing! I loveeeee my crop a dile! It makes life so much easier! =]
ReplyDeleteMy must have is my Quick Stik...it is just great for picking up all those little things!
ReplyDeleteOh and can I add two more....some music and some chocolate works just fine too! lol!
Thanks Laura!

PAPER! Beautiful paper, I'm addicted. I'm willing to tear it if I have to do without scissors and have been known to when the scissors weren't handy! Love your talent and hope watching you will give me some of your "mojo". Thanks. Janet

I have to have my paper cutter and some adhesive. I've been using the Scotch Quick Dry. I recently found your site. I love it. Thanks for all the videos. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteLaura,
ReplyDeleteLove your video's! The one thing I can't live without is my tweezer's. I panic when they are missing, they are my favorite.
I cant live without my craft knife!! I was using scissors for a long time, then I discovered how much easier it is to use a craft knife!! If you don't use one....do yourself a favor and pick one up!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without my ATG gun! I just feel lost without it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for all you share! You are an inspiration and such a fun person to watch on YouTube! Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI think it would be my crystal accents. I swear I use it for absolutely everything.
ReplyDeleteI cannot live without a lot of things when I scrap, but I would have to say... My inks... All of my cat's eyes from Colorbox.. I cannot LIVE without inking my projects.. Everything must be inked or else i stop... HAHA>. LOVE these What's Up Wednesdays Laura!!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura!
ReplyDeleteI'm sharing your pain- I turn 50 in November. My mother was old when she was 50 - but I'm not going to be!!!!
I have a new favorite when scrapping minis. I used to be a big fan of the zip dry glue. That changed when I discovered the Scotch brand quick dry glue. Love it. No paper warping, dries fast - and no smell!!
Oh my gosh so many things I cannot live without.... my terrificly tacky tape, distress inks, glue stick, fiskars paper cutter and the list goes on and on. I'm new to paper crafting but what I use all all all the time and can't be without.... your probably going to think I'm being silly but... here goes.... my tub of wet wipes!! Yup, clean up is a must before, during and after crafting. Thanks so much for giving away all your time, tips, ideas, love, smiles and your contagious!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, Thanks so much for sharing your ideas. I could not live without my ATG gun.
ReplyDeleteI cant live without pattered PAPER!! Also my paper trimmer, some zip dry adhesive and GLIMMER MIST! :) Great videos!
ReplyDeleteLaura
ReplyDeleteThe one thing that I can not do without is PAPER. I have been on this shopping for paper kick. I love the one on your sneak peek.
Wow - we have to pick just won. Well I can't because I am 52 and when you get that age I can do what I want 'cause I don't have to answer to anyone anymore lol. 50 is GREAT! You are in good company. so list: my file folder of templates I have made from U-tube pockets, chipboard shapes transferred before used, etc. Then coffee then tutorial videos and paper. Love ya,
ReplyDeleteRobin
can't live without that feeling of enjoyment when scrapping.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! Thank you so much for this giveaway! That's sooo sweet of you! I absolutely love everything you do, you're a big inspiration to me, even your quilting work inspires my scrapbooking.
ReplyDeleteFor me, I can't live without my photos when I scrap for myself. Every page revolves around the images and memories, and I think that photos are too precious to go without.
Along with that, I would say a pen. I'm not good at it- but I looovee to journal! I always forget what happened, so journaling will help me in a few years remember why I loved that moment.
When I scrap for other people [swaps and what not] I can't live without paper! I've become creative with limited supplies, and realized that I can make beautiful embellishments out of just paper! Oh and paint!!!
Thank you again so much! We all appreciate it!
The one thing I can't live with out is adhesive!! Usually ATG gold!
ReplyDeleteOh! I can't live without my Tim Holz Distress Inks. Everything I create is inked, grunged and distressed. In fact, I have to do a bright and cheery tropical mini from our trip to Miami and am so depressed that I can't use my inks...or can I? Happy Birthday all year long, Laura. I turn 36 on Saturday...arghhhh.
ReplyDelete♥Denise

Hi Laura!
ReplyDeleteGreat question. I cannot scrap without my atg gun and glossy accents to glue down bling and/or to embellish with. Even my husband now uses my glossy accents to glue down anything that needs a permanent bond! Lol and he's quite fond of my atg gun too. Not sure what he uses it on but seems like he's always grabbing it. Thanks so much for inspiring me every week! You have a great personality and it's quite contagious!!! Can't help but be in a better mood after watching snd listening to you on YouTube. FYI, latest project is the your butterfly min. Having so much fun!
Miranda
I can't live without my Cricut. I use it every day on every project.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live without my ATG gun, Fiskars triple track trimmer, and my Tim Holtz scissors, I just love them! Oh, and some good tunes, its really the only time I listen to music other than in the car. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without my sanding block/emery board that I got from a dollar store, I have a few of them and never leave home without it

ReplyDeleteI am new to scrapbooking and love love love ur videos they have taught me soooo much. My thing I can't live without right now is my Cropadile. Thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteFirst let me just I love your bubbly personality. It comes through so much on your vids and I love it. Congrats on soon to be "50". The one thing I cannot be without when scrapping is ink. I love to ink everything. To me it just gives it that finished look. I love the Tim Holtz distressing ink and am just starting to collect them. thanks for the fun videos.! :) Scrappingpinklady
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteWhat can I not live without while scrapping? Besides YouTube videos?? Id have to say my glass nail file. I love that its etched on all sides and pointed so it gets in every little crevice!
Thanks for your hard work!
PS. 50 is the new 30, congrats! :)
Love your videos. I have to say I couldn't scrap without my ATG gun
ReplyDeleteI cant live without my ruler. My ruler is what makes my projects look nice and clean. I loved the 2 videos!! Amazing as always!!
ReplyDeleteI love my ATG and my FREDs for all my scrapping projects - big and small. On my FRED I can lay out all of the pages of my mini before I put them together so I can get the full effect. Love that!
ReplyDeleteMy cricut. I just wanted to say a BIG thanks for sharing all your talent with us.
ReplyDeleteAs I'm a new scrapbooking addict, by the moment, my paper trimmer and my kraft knife are a must.
ReplyDeleteWatching all that beautiful and useful stuff you've got, hope as I increase my "collection", my answer will be different in a few months (it will mean that I'll have a lot of new craft tools to use!) ;D
Hi Laura-
ReplyDeleteThanks for the videos. You are one of the most talented people I have ever witnessed. I really appreciate your talent.
I couldn't live without paper. I love paper so much sometimes I hate to use it. I also couldn't live without an assortment of adhesives and just ordered an ATG gun. I hope it gets here this week before my DH gets home.
Thanks for the inspiration.
I would have to say that my Exacto knife and distress inks are my two go-to items. I also use quite a bit of the Scotch Quick Dry Glue. Please keep the projects coming. You have such great ideas.
ReplyDeletePS It doesn't hurt to have a little chocolate nearby either. :)
Thank you for your Back to Basics vids! They were just what I needed to know if I was on the right 'trail' with my paper crafting!
ReplyDeleteLike you, I can't live without my Tim Holtz Distressing Inks. I just don't think a mini is finished without some distressing. My favorite color for that is Vintage Photo.
Thanks again for your vids and your blog. You are an inspiration to me, both in my paper crafting and in my life in general. Have a wonderful day!
Gina
Too late tonight, But can't wait to watch them. Thanks again for keeping us motivated.

I can't live without my photos. Everything I do revolves around them. If I had to pick a product, though, I'd have to say my cutting mat. I went to Walmart and bought the biggest glass cutting board they had. (It set me back a whopping $12!) Of course I found it in the kitchen supply area. It doesn't have grid lines on it which is my only complaint, but on a budget it works for me. -Dera
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteI cannot live without my Corner Chomper. It's my best friend. LOL. Thank you so much for your video's. You inspire me to create and I appreciate you more than you can imagine. Have a wonderful week.

Laura~ You are just the most clever lady!! Never seen anyone that can create the minis like you...they are just amazing and I love watching and listening to you!! The very 1st thing I cannot do WITHOUT anytime I am in my scrap/craft room is my audiobooks!! LOL Yeah I know...it's not a tool but I have to have some kinda noise goin in the background while I create...LOL!! As for scraping tools go mine are very similar to yours as far as the go to/put up/grab 1st next time but I have to say the paper piercer gets used for EVERYTHING...pokin holes, pickin up teeny tiny things to holding things while I heat em to melt the embossing powder!! Thanks again and have a Fantastic Night! ~Robyn
ReplyDeleteI can't live without my ribbons and fibers!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your vidios. I have made 5 paper bag albums since I have watched your technique, and I love the "attacher" pockets you started using. I've bound mine with canvas but the last 4 I just used it at the binding end rather than for the whole cover. I used a braid &/or ribbon that finished it so pretty. I love what you do and I thank you for sharing your talent with us!!!
A question. Where do you get those lovely envelopes? I am going to be in Seattle visiting my daughter in Feb. and would love to buy them to try envelope minis!
Also HAPPY 50th! I am 51 and I LOVE BEING in my 50's. Still so young...with lots of excuses for memory lapses, silly behavior etc... its alot of fun!(and so acceptable as we're so "old") ENJOY! :)
Teflon bonefolder. It doesn't scratch or leave a shiny edge....no buffer paper needed. I actually had never heard of them until a couple months ago when I was on a book-making site and they suggested using one....so of course straight to e-bay!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am new to scrap booking and blogs too. I was looking up Christmas craft one day when I found your blog. You were on the second day of Christmas... I watch one video and I was hooked! I would have to say as a newbie to scrap booking the best tool is the bone folder, but I am still learning about all the great tools that are out there. Enjoy turning 50! My mom just turn 50 last week. It was a blast and a great reason to have a big party!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live without my papercutter.
ReplyDeletepjmickle@yahoo.com

My bone folder, crop-a-dial, AND YOUTUBE TUTORIALS!!
ReplyDeletehere are so many things I couldn't live without....but I must say scrapbook papers.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura
ReplyDeleteI can not live without my bone folder and paper cutter. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent :D
Warm hugs from cold Sweden
I can't live without my scissors. I'd be lost without it :) Great video for what's up Wednesday! Hugs, Marie.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't live without my ink blending tool!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, as always thanks for the info and great tip for the zip dry glue, I hadn't thought of using it to complete the seal after putting down paper onto chipboard. I don't think I could live without my "little bug" scrapping along with me and/or my bone folder!! Thanks Valerie
ReplyDeletehy Laura! Love your projects and your videos. i couldn´t live without my stamps!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura :)
ReplyDeleteI would have to say I can't scrap without my music to help me get into my own zone and then PAPERS, papers and papers!
Thanks for everything,
Diana Alailima
I would have to say that for me, it's a tie between stamps and papers. I always am walking out of the store with one or the other, or sometimes just both! I will go to the store for something and leave with just stamps and paper, and absolutely nothing that I needed. :)
ReplyDeleteJennifer
Hi Laura, what I can't live without when I scrap is bling and gorgeous inspiring designer paper, sooooo hard to find here in France. Thanks for your videos!
ReplyDeleteI just watched your back to basic videos! Loved it and thank you sooooo much for the special shout out! :)
ReplyDelete-Diana
Gosh, it seems like I can't do without A LOT of space. I tend to pull out everything but the kitchen sink for a layout. When I'm doing a mini-book -- forget about it! It ends up looking like an explosion!
ReplyDeleteToolwise, I also love my ATG gun, my tonic scissors, glossy accents, my stapler, distresser, sand paper, tweezers & glue dots. When it comes to mini-books I use Yes! Paste, a mini squeegee and brayer. It goes a long way and really holds well without buckling.
Thanks for your wonderful videos. You have so much creative energy (and energy in general). Thanks for sharing it with us all! Happy almost 50! BTW, I've heard of several folks doing a countdown type mini (much like Ali Edwards' December Daily) leading up to their 50th. Seems like a similar project would be right up your alley!
hi Laura. thank you for all the fabulous videos..each and everyone is fabulous...i think my essentials are my my heat gun and paper cutter i would be lost with out these.
ReplyDeletethanks for your video. love it as always. I think that I can't live without stamps and inks, I am just an addict as many scrapbookers... I also like distress my pages. Can't wait to see the next "what's up wednesday". hugs
ReplyDeleteHi Laura,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the fun that you bring to our paper crafing "world." I truly appreciate you. You amaze me with all of the creative ideas that you come up with!
I would have to say that the 1 thing I can't live without is patterned paper when I'm working on my minis. They are where I start off, and what gives me the direction that I'll be heading. Great paper can be so incredibly motivating and really get the creativity sparked. Of course the essentials are needed, but they're not nearly as much fun!
50 is just a number, as you said, you don't feel or act 50 - - you go girl!
Hugs,
Robyn

Hi Laura, thanks for ur videos....so helpful as always! :) I was even telling my mum about you and ur inspiring work so was also impressed.
ReplyDeleteI guess I can't live without my paper trimmer as I can't cut straight at all!! Even with the trimmer I still mess up sometimes :) LOL :)
Thanks again for sharing!!
Afshan :)
I love your videos, Laura. Thanks for sharing. I can't live without my tonic paper cutter. It's the most accurate of all my cutters and the cuts are always straight. Love it.
ReplyDeleteThanx Laura for all your fab video's and your truely inpirational creativity, You are asking me to choose one thing OMG!!!!! what would I choose??? ???? ????
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be my ...Crop-a-dile, my Paper Trimmer, my ink's, Glue/sticky stuff and Charm's... sorry couldn't just choose one I just need it all :)
Thank's for sharing your creativity with us all.
Wey to go Laura.
Laura, thank you for all your videos. I learn a lot from you. I don't know what I couldn't live without. I think it would have to be the paper pads. I like how they all go together. KH
ReplyDeleteScraping is a new hobby for me and I'm loving every minute of it! What I can't live without? Hard to say, but I guess my glue stick would be hard to give up. Although I enjoyed your 12 days of Christmas videos so much that when they ended I thought I might not be able to live without them.
ReplyDeleteHello Laura, Thanks so much for sharing your inspiration so generously! I look forward everyday to reading your blog and today it's a special chance you give us to enter in your giveaway.
ReplyDeleteYou ask what can't I live without when I scrap. My answer is simply MUSIC! I love music and sometimes I get inspired just by listening to words of a song. If I had a second choice, that would be Ranger distressing inks. I love vintage and they seem to do the job everytime!
Good luck to all and thanks again for being you! Olga, Miami, Florida
Hi Laura! LOVE the video! You know, I have only been scrapping for about a year, but you always need to look at and see what others out there are doing. Unfortunately, where I live in NJ, there are NO scrapbook stores! We drive into PA sometimes just to see what's new. LOVE the Mariposa. Was sick and after I saw you show it, my saweet hubby went 40 minutes away to Joann's to get it for me. Keep the videos coming. Love how your mind works. Truly amazing you are.
ReplyDeleteMy "can't live without scrapbook item?" Heat gun by far. I emboss and quick dry glue all the time. HAVE to have it!
Thanks again Laura!

I found it at a secondhand store for 2 dollars and i grabbed it laughing its exactly like yours not happy now that i cant find the tape I guess i have to try the online stores LOL) Anyway love you Laura I try all your projects atleast once

I can`t live whitout my bonefolder and inks...hmmm and a lot more...I can`t live whitout my papercraft hobby ;-) Thanks for sharing your wonderfull ideas!!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura - I'm a year behind you, I was pregnant at 39 and I turn ((50)) next year. I whispered that so it doesn't seem so painful lol. I can't live without youtube when I'm attempting to scrap - as a newbie I find I need to constantly refer to tutorials to check methods etc but then I end up watching all the tutorials and never actually scrap !!! Maybe when the confidence comes I'll be a youtube poster instead of watcher. Love your vids and your enthusiasm. Angela xxxx
ReplyDeleteI can't live without Gluedots! I use them on paper projects and a whole slew of home projects!!
ReplyDeleteLove your videos and blog!
Hi Laura
ReplyDeleteI can't seem to live without crystal stickles.
Thanks for sharing your talents.
Love Anita
Hey Laura!!! I don't know if you want to hear it, but Congrats on the b-day. I know how you feel, I certainly don't feel 45, it's weird, kwim.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your tutorials, I don't think I have been inspired like this in so long!! Yesterday I found myself looking for leaves and feathers at Hobby Lobby & Michaels, LOL. I am working on a Paper bag album which, of course was taught how to make from you!!!
I was also looking for fibers. I know there is a store here in Augusta that has tons of fabric, yarn, quilting supplies, etc. My Mom found it before she came to visit us one year, and it is amazing. Hoping it's still here! But as you said, expensive!!! LOL Back in 2002 when we moved here to GA, I bought a bunch of fibers to use on my scrapbook pages, I don't know why I quit, because they are sooo pretty!!
OK..I'm rambling..what I can not live without is my fisker snips. I received a pack of the scissors back in 2004 for Christmas, when I was sewing a ton of clothes for my little ones. It came with the large pair of scissors, and the circle cutter. I am glad I watched your video, because I have a "wavy" blade that came with it, so I wonder how that would look on chipboard..hmmmm. The snips are the best, easy on the hands, and cut like new, even after all these years. The second of course is the tacky tape, but definitely couldn't live without the snips, I have used/abused those scissors like you wouldn't believe!!! LOL Great tip on the chipboard too, that is what I have done, purchased a large framing matte board from Hobby Lobby, and then I just cut it down, and trim in my tonic. I have had it for about 2 years now, with plenty left. I think it was about 2.99 on sale, and very sturdy!
Thanks for all you do, LOVE all your tutorials, and can't wait to see more!!!
Both my Distress inks and my trimmer are at the top of my list!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, your work is amazing!!! I love watching your videos. What I can not do without is my ATG, I absolutly love it and only have to buy adhesive once a year. I buy it by the case :-)
ReplyDeleteAdhesive, silly!
ReplyDeleteCan't live without my ATG gun, babywipes, my Cricut, Sizzix and plenty of paper!
ReplyDeleteMary

Oh there are a million things I can't live without, but if I HAVVVVVVVVVE to just choose only one, uhm... I'd say life would be sad if there were no chipboard... so I'd have to say CHIPBOARD!!!!!!!! :) I love, Love, LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteLex
My double sided adhesive I cannot do without. I buy them in hugh amounts just to be certain I have them in stock. :-)
ReplyDeleteBy the way I love your tutorials and what I'm concernd you may have a what's up Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday too, I give you Sunday's off so you can rest for the next week ;-) Just kidding!!
Love,
Jolanda

ReplyDeleteFirst and foremost is YOU....your videos are always such a joy to watch because you are so great at creating and showing us HOW to "be" So, I want to thank you for your time and knowledge! Second, I guess I would choose.....
Yikes!! I can't choose!! There are too many things I LOVE...so gonna have to stick with you! So, Take care of you! Love, Deb
What's up Laura!!
ReplyDeleteAdhesive of course, otherwise nothing would stay in place. Not just one, you have to have a variety. I find myself always using my ATG714, Tombo Mono adhesive, Tombo Mono multi liquid, Scotch Quick-Dry, Scotch Clear Glue Stick, Glossy Accents, Zip Dry, Red Sticky tape, this just for scrapbooking. For other crafts I use Martha Stewart Decoupage Glue and Sealer, Fabri-Tac and Mod Podge, have them all!

The thing that I can't live without the most is my brown ink. I ink EVERYTHING and love the distressed look brown gives. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance at your giveaway!

I can't live without my scissors when scrappin'. I love to make my embellishment by myself and I could do it even without glue... but not without my scissors!
ReplyDeleteLove surprises!!!
Thanks for the opportunity!
Greetings!
Laura, I love my USArtquest Perfect Paper Adhesive that I buy at Micheals. It is wonderful to apply to chipboard with a spongebrush to apply paper for a mini, and it is suggested by the Pearl Ex people to use it to mix with Pearl Ex to make it into a shimmer paint. I just mix a little PPA and Pearl Ex and have the most beutiful shimmer paint. It does not at all make the paper buckle or wrinkle on chipboard either. It is the perfect glue for mini albums.
ReplyDeleteThe one tool I couldn't live without is my trimmer. I have the fiskars portably rotary trimmer and I love it!! It's great since I can even cut my chipboard with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting how you cleared out all the Mariposa DCWV stacks from your place to Seattle...lol!! I live in Kent and I was surprised to find that Tukwila Joann's had 1 Mariposa Cardstock left. So the 1 thing I cannot scrap without is a ruler. If I don't have my ruler I go nuts! Thank You for sharing all your awesome talent!

Hi Laura, you are so creative...I LOVE watching your videos! The most important thing for me to have when creating is music - it gets my creative juices flowing. :-) Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI can't live without my grid paper! I'm always writing down measurements and it also helps protect my surface from ink, adhesive and such.
ReplyDeletePAPER! I'm addicted to pretty paper!
ReplyDeletealice h
embellishment, ruler and lots of lighting on my working place. love your work. thank you so much for share your ralent.
ReplyDeleteI love your videos! You have inspired me in making my own mini albums!! Anyway, the one thing I can't scrap/craft without is my red ATG gun. I like that it's big enough that it never gets lost under the pile I always manage to accumulate when I am working on something! =) But a new "must have" for me are my border punches: EK success: curved edge & lace scallop; Martha Stewart's loops and lace doily. They are in everything I have been making. Oh and yes, and I can't forget my mists: Maya Road Pearl and Glimmer Mist Irridescent Gold are my faves!
ReplyDeletePaper is always there... folded, creased inked, stamped, ripped, glued, embossed, die cut, stenciled, stickered or plain... it is my favorite, must have item!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Tim Holtz booklet idea from last week ~THANKS!

ReplyDeleteHi Laura, first of all thanks for all of your wonderful videos!! One thing I can't scrap without is a tough choice but I would say it would have to be chipboard.
ReplyDeleteMy paper Cutter is probably the most used item in my craft room although there are soooo many things I use often. Thanks for all your ideas, they are so much fun. Nancy

What can I not live without on my mini books? I guess it would be fibers and ribbons - on the binding or rings, on the covers, or on the pages. They can be fancy or plain, bright or earthy. They just add that finishing touch. For me, it's like the icing on the cake.
ReplyDeleteTurwen9
It's quit simple...I can't live without my corner rounder punch! I use it on almost all of my photos and the matching photo mats when making my layouts!
ReplyDeleteHI laura

ReplyDeleteI Like my paper trimmer and my stamps! I love all your videos and your ideas! You are so creative!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! Loved the "basics" videos. The one thing I can't live without - in minis, or any other paper project - is my collection of adhesives. I often use a combination of my ATG gun, Tombow roller, Tombow liquid, red Tacky Tape, pop-up foam, E-6000, etc., etc. Anyway, thanks for all the inspiration you give!

Just love your site and all you share with us! Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI use my Tim Holtz distress inks and craft sheet all the time. My Big Bite - much easier for me to use.
Hi Laura, My every time I scrapbook and make mini's tool is my Scrappin/ W/Sweet Nothing Scrappin Spin Tool Station. The Scrappin' Spin Tool Station keeps all your scrappin' necessities at your fingertips. No more searching for tools and glue. Lazy Susan spins for easy accessibility - PLenty of storage inside and out to accomodate all my accessories - plenty of pockets for all my tools. Google scrappin/spin tool station and you can see what it looks like. I've had it for several years and I even take it to crops. Love! Love! Love it.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura, My favorite scrap tool is my scissors. I use my little scissors so much. They are my all time go to tool.
ReplyDeleteHey Laura!!! Happy, happy birthday!!! The years don't matter...it's the age you FEEL that matters!!! You run circles around most of us! You're still a youngster! :)
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I can't craft without is,...well,...it would have to be,...my distress inks. I had to think about that for a minute, but I use those things on every project even though I don't have a tremendous amount of colors. I also have to have glossy accents at hand and of course bit of youtube!!! Thanks so much for the videos, lady! Your tutorials and kits totally rock!!!
xxx:)Cheri
My glass cutting mat and my heat resistant craft sheet!!! Until I had my glass mat, my cutting was a disaster. Now it is SO professional looking!!!BTW- your backgrounds are GORGEOUS on your blog!! Thanks for sharing, Laura!!! Sharon :D
ReplyDeleteGood Friends! That is what I have a hard time doing without. Possible but not as enjoyable. Thanks for the awesome videos.
ReplyDeleteHi Laura! Great minds think alike....I too use my rotary cutter to cut chipboard...lol (on my cutting mat, of course). Once a quilter, always a quilter ;) The one thing I would be lost without would be my PH Neutral PVA Glue for adhering paper to chipboard (oh, and the foam brush to apply it with). Thanks for your generosity! Count me in, please.
ReplyDeleteI love my patterned paper, I love my other stuff as well but paper is essential I think.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for your generosity
My Fiskars paper trimmer, this is one item that I always use to create my mini albums. Oh, and you can't forget Candy or Chocolate for those late nights creating albums. ;)
