All Aboard! Train Mini Album class tonight!

The train pattern shipping situation has sucked up a TON of time so WUW may not happen this week, I may save it for next week. There are only so many hours in the day!!

This is who I spent the afternoon with yesterday...visiting some of my favorite scrappin' stores....Joy!! (aka Zelda) was in town for business and we were able to get together. She is soooo sweet!!!

What a day...

Yesterday was a no work day...not by choice! I spent most of the morning working with AOL to get my email up and running. It seems to be working okay now. I am also having to resend a lot of the train mini patterns. The file is quite large and I broke it into three parts for those who couldn't receive the full file. That added a bunch of time. One thing to note....if you don't receive an order (except those ordered since late yesterday) please let me know. Many of you send me a note that says"I know you're super busy, but I haven't received...." One of my highest priorities is to get patterns in the hands of those who have purchased them. No matter how busy I am, getting the patterns out is at the front of the line. So, please don't hesitate to contact me if you haven't received an order. In more than 99 percent of the cases, I have sent it but it has been bounced out by your email service. I have no way of knowing that unless you let me know! :) :) I am more than happy to resend it!
I am still working on WUW for this week. I have super fun afternoon already planned so it my not be up before tomorrow, but rest assured I will put it up!

Train Patterns are up!

The All Aboard Train Mini Album instructions are finally up on Etsy....CLICK HERE to go directly to my etsy shop. I will start shipping them out via email in a few hours....got to go do some back to school shopping and will start sending them out when we get back. All kits that have been ordered are shipped....a few more are left.

Recipe Box Class tonight on Ustream!

With the train moved down the track to next weekend, this cute recipe box is slippin' in for a class tonight. Lots of you have asked for a recipe box, so here you go!
....pssst!....it will make a great box to hold other kids of treasures as well!!





Here's what you will need: (I will have a pattern up later today for those who want the written instructions)

Chipboard: (2) 4" x 8", (1) 3" x 8", (1) 3 1/8" x 8", (1) 7" x 8", 4" x 5" for apron
Paper for box: (2) 12" x 12" shts for outside (two colors), (2) 12" x 12" shts for inside (one color)
Paper for inside pockets: (5) 8 1/2" x 11 sheets of card stock
Paper for Recipe folders: (7) 12" x 12" card stock cut to (14) 6" x 12" (I used 7 different colors)
Other: Patterned paper for recipe folders, printed recipe cards (optional), eyelets, ribbon, Tim Holtz clip and hitch post, flower embellishments, 3/4" circle punch, 1" circle punch

What's Cookin' for Friday's Class!

I 'm changing the train schedule!! The train class will be moving down the track to August 27/28th. Choo! Choo!
I have a local class this weekend that I need to finish prepping for, the train pattern needs to get finished to my standards, and the kids want to go see the movie Ramona and Beezus today, so....the schedule had to flex! I'll be making a fast and fun recipe box on Friday instead. I'll post photo's and supplies later today. It's a pattern that is already half done so I'll have a pattern available on Etsy by tomorrow morning (the train pattern will be up and available over the weekend...all those tags for both the bugs and the monsters takes a TON of time to write up!)

Today is Friday the 13th.....

...but yesterday sure felt like it!! I was feeling a bit like EVERYONE needed or wanted something from me and I just wanted to scream STOP!! at the world! I was in a bit of a snit yesterday when I posted, so I took it down soon afterwards. Everything is much better today!! August is typically a crazy busy month for me and this year seems worse. So, don't get concerned if I don't post a WUW....life is just happening....(SMILING) Once the kids are back in school around Labor Day ... my schedule settles back to Mach 10 and I can stay ahead of it all much better!

What's up Wednesday! August 4, 2010

Sarah and I have been seeing these cute flowers made from zipper tape in all the accessory departments/stores. I also used them a few months ago on the cover of mini. They are fun and fast to make. You can use old zippers, new zippers, or I found zipper tape in a couple of colors in the trim section of a fabric store.



Thank you to everyone for their kind birthday wishes to Sarah. I can't believe my "baby" is now 10!! Time has gone WAY TOO FAST!!

New KITZ 4 KIDZ!

Sarah has been asking (okay...begging!) to do some kits to sell and since today is her birthday (the big TEN OH!!!) we decided today was a good day for launching the Kitz 4 Kidz Mini Album kits over on her blog! She did all the selections herself...I am just her tech slave (uh-oh!) and getting things up on her blog. (All orders will go through my Paypal, but she gets the money after expenses!)
