Here they are!!! Thank you for viewing these amazing Pink Mini's made by women from around the world!
Here's how it's going to work. The photo's are divided up into albums with 3-5 mini's per album. Each album is a separate post and has a post comment link under it. To make a bid, make a comment under the album with the name of the mini and your bid. You will need to scan previous posts to find out the latest bid. (Make sure to leave your comment under the blog comments NOT the Slide comments!!)If you have trouble leaving a bid, email me at quiltedbaglady@aol.com and I will post your bid for you.
Bidding will remain open until 6 pm Pacific Standard Time on November 7, 2009.
High bidders will be informed after that date/time. High bidders will then go to the Passionately Pink for a Cure event website I have set up to make a donation in the amount of their bid. They will receive the mini that they were high bidder on as a thank you for their donation!
If you want to make a donation rather than bidding on a mini, you can! Go to http://www.info-komen.org/goto/pink-minis and make a donation in the amount of your choosing.
THANK YOU!!! to all the ladies who made these albums. The love put into them truly shines through!! Thank you to all of you who are viewing these mini's. For general comments, please leave them under this post to keep the album post from getting cluttered.

Whew! It's been a busy time for me. First off, THANK YOU to every one who is participating in the Pink Mini's for a Cure! I am very excited and it is already exceeding my expectations in terms of participation. I've already gotten some photo's in! The next step is getting the word out. I got a great idea from Jill over at the {Scrap{Beach. I will be running a blog candy with multiple prizes. The candy will start on Sunday evening and continue until Saturday when the Silent Auction goes up. To enter you will need to add a link on your blog about the when and where of the silent auction. When I post the blog candy, more details about the auction will also be posted. Jill has offered a kit for the blog candy and I will be putting up a finished album. There may be more...stay tuned! If anyone can make a "blinky" that would be AWESOME. I'm clueless on how to do it!
I am off on a quilting retreat tomorrow and will be returning on Sunday afternoon. No kids, laundry, or cooking for nearly 4 days. Can you say heaven! Okay, so I miss the kids (and hubby) after just one night, but it is a fun time. My Mom goes with me so it's a great time for the two of us.
I wanted to get these two kits up before I left. (Hubby has been trained on shipping!) View the videos on my You Tube channel (http://followthepapertrail.youtube.com) and check them out at my Etsy store (http://followthepapertrail.etsy.com) I love both paper collections!! Look for video's of the finished albums next week. (I'm taking scrapping stuff along with the quilting stuff.)
Have a SUPER GREAT weekend!

WOW! I have been overwhelmed by the response!!! The kits are all spoken for but you may still participate by making an album of your own materials and sending the photo's for the auction. Let me know if you want to participate in this way so I can plan accordingly! THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!! I am SO EXCITED!!
Pink Mini's for a Cure
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I am organizing a mini scrap book challenge and silent auction. I have put together 16 kits (at no charge to the participant) to be sent out to 14 interested mini scrappers to make a mini album. My 9 year old daughter and I will be making mini albums with the remaining 2 kits. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Susan G. Komen for a Cure Foundation through their Passionatly Pink for a Cure event program.
Here is the details for the Pink Mini’s challenge:
1. Make a Mini Album using any of the materials provided in the kit. Participants may add any additional materials as they see fit.
2. The mini-album you create should be one that you are proud of and something you would enjoy receiving yourself.
3. The mini-album should be no smaller than 3x3, but no larger than 6x8.
4. It should contain a minimum of 4 to 6 pages.
5. Though the album should be predominately pink, the theme may be more generic to appeal to a wider audience such as girls/women, birthday, princess, baby etc.
6. Digital photos of your mini need to be sent to Laura no later than October 29. Bidding will commence on October 31 until November 7. Photos of the albums will be posted on my blog (www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com) during the bidding period. High bidders will be directed to the Passionately Pink for a Cure event website I have set up to make a donation in the amount of their bid. The album they have bid on will be sent to them as a thank you for their donation. More details regarding the bidding will be up on my blog closer to the end of October.
7. Participants will be responsible for shipping the mini album they create to the high bidder from the silent auction in a timely manner after the bidding is complete.
8. Due to the logistics of getting the kit materials into the hands of the participants, our international sisters may participate by making an album out of materials of their own choosing and sending digital photos to me by the same deadline as above.
To participate in the challenge and receive your kit, please leave me a comment “I want to participate” or send me an email at (quiltedbaglady@aol.com) letting me know you want to participate. I will contact you for an address to send you kit. Don’t be shy! I doesn’t matter what your skill level, these mini’s are going to be great!!
I will also be posting information/link for any one wanting to make a donation to this event later this week as well.

Think Pink!!
A couple of weeks ago I was making a "To-Do" list. I am usually moving at mach 10 with my hair on fire and making lists helps to keep all the balls in the air. I must have been in a philosophical mood that day because instead of making a "To Do" list, I made a "To Be" list. I will blog more about my list at a later time , but one of the things on that list was to be a more giving person. I have an incredible husband, two wonderful children and a beautiful home. I've had my professional career and am now enjoying running a creative business from home that allows me to be home with my kids, volunteer at their schools, lead a Girl Scout troop and just be there for them the way parents were for me.
I have been blessed, therefore I actively look for ways to give back to my family, my friends and to my community. I discovered mini scrapbook albums and the internet community surrounding it this past July. I have been overwhelmed and touched by the positive and supportive response to my work!! It is so appreciated. I have often thought of ways to channel all that positive energy generated by such creative women into a project that "gives back" and I think I have an idea to run by you all.
I have a close friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She recently completed chemo and starts radiation treatment next week. (We joke with her that she gets to glow in the dark for Halloween!) I have been wanting to do something to honor her positive outlook and courage. The recent challenge put on by the Craft Craving Chicas gave me an idea! I am working out the details to host an online fundraiser to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and I thought organizing a mini scrap book challenge and silent auction would be fun and appropriate! I will be putting together 16 kits (at no charge to the participant) to be sent out to interested mini scrappers to make a mini album. Each participant will create an album that will be put into a silent action on my blog in late October/early November. All proceeds from the silent auction will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation through a website I am setting up associated with their Passionatly Pink for a Cure Program. I will be putting up more details tomorrow and hope to get the kits into the mail on Tuesday. Leave me a comment or email me at quiltedbaglady@aol.com if you might be interested in participating. Unfortunately, due to logistics, participants receiving kits from me must be in the US. Our international sisters will still be able to participate...check back tomorrow for further details.

Here my September swap album for the Deux Shabby Chic kit club that is on it's way to Vangie in Arizona.I was late finishing this one...it wanted to be difficult!!I wanted to use the pages with the scallop-y edge on one side but it kept looking like cupcakes or toast to me. When I paired it with the bracket pages it clicked and finishing was smooth sailing. I am pleased with the finished mini and hope Vangie likes it, too!

Here's the other kit, I'm calling this one Autumn Tapestry. It is a paper bag album with a tapestry cover. Warm, yummy autumn colors highlighted by sparkly embossing are featured on the this great collection of patterned papers. There are lots of embellishments that make you almost feel the frost in the air. You have the option of purchase the "naked" assembled album... just add the papers. I'll be working on the finished album for this one very soon. It's my favorite colors, so I'm really looking forward to it. I will post it here when it's done.
